You can say is not the same, yes, but the real problem is that the feelings and fears are the same: not trusting yourself not challenging yourself to advance, to live in the future and not in the past because all the fears. The point is that concern also happened in other regions. In fact, this kind of online voting happens in the RIRs, but doesn't happens for political elections (I’m not sure if any country in the world is doing that), while it will be technically perfectly possible. Everybody hast this kind of fears (further to the legal changes needed for online voting, but that’s a different issue).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:12.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:12.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'>LACNIC is a region very similar to AFRINIC in many senses. I can tell you that many folks would have never accepted on-line voting, but a few years ago, they started doing so, and nothing bad happened. And if it happens you learn from it and you improve. If there is a massive tampering of the system, the board has always the attribution to repeat it.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:12.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:12.0pt;mso-fareast-language:EN-US'>LACNIC never did an on-line policy meeting and because the pandemic situation they decided to take the challenge in May, and it worked *<b>so well</b>*, which an incredible increase of participation (and policy proposal that reached consensus and other that didn’t reached it), that we will have a *<b>new</b>* on-line policy meeting by middle of august.
