<div>Figured this would contribute to the discussions of last week. These stats were draw from the latest allocation database available on ftp.afrinic.net with some processing done against that database.</div>

<div>The following is a graph based on allocations up to date as of yesterday and shows 3 things on the graph.</div>

</div>
<div>A.) The allocations made since 2006 per year (Year ticks on the graph represent the end of the year in question)</div>
<div>B.) The amount of space left before we hit soft landing phase</div>
<div>C.) The total amount of space left in the pool.</div>

</div>
<div>The interesting thing is that this graph clearly shows that sometime last year we were allocating space at an annual rate that was higher than what we have left before we hit soft landing, I.E we WILL hit soft landing sometime around the middle of this
year IF these allocation rates continue.</div>

</div>
<div>(As another note, afrinic allocated 11.91 million addresses in just the last 3 months alone. This is 71.01% of a /8 and is 220 thousand more addresses than we have left before we hit soft landing out of the remaining pool.</div>
