 region.<BR><BR>http://www.aso.icann.org/ac/index.html<BR><BR>The open seat for our region is:<BR><BR>Seat 2: for three years term (January 2008 to December 2010)<BR><BR>AfriNIC would like to call for volunteers to sit on the Election<BR>Committee (2 Members). The role of the Election Committee (Ecom) is<BR>to oversee the election process by ensuring that it is conducted in<BR>a smooth and efficient manner.<BR><BR>Any person interested in forming part of the Ecom should inform us<BR>before 21st of Feb 2007.<BR><BR>The Time Frames for the election will be as follows:<BR><BR>o - Announcement of Election Committee Members - 3 March 2007<BR>o - Opening of the Candidacy/Nomination Period - 3 March 2007<BR>o - Closing of Nomination Period - 18 March 2007<BR>o - Review of nomination, contacting nominees for more details - 18 March 2007<BR>o - Official Announcement of Candidate by Election Committee &<BR>Opening of Public Comments - 23 March 2007<BR>o - Close of Public Comments
