[rpd] AFRINIC-38 Public Policy Meeting-Cape Town, South Africa, 18 November 2026

Hi,

Just to add that my MAJOR disagreement is on the location. I COMPLETELY
disagree with the location. Holding it in South Africa would put
participants at unnecessary risk. However, since the meeting is hybrid, the
date can be considered if there are no other options, but not the location.

The other events in South Africa would be poorly attended by other Africans
anyway, so that is not an advantage. If we want to take advantage of other
events, it can be held back-to-back with either the African IGF in Ghana or
the Global IGF in Nairobi. There is no harm in going to Nairobi twice a
year.
