[rpd] Proposals that did not reach consensus at AF-37 PPM

Dear Policy Authors,

We are writing to you in our capacity as PDWG Co-Chairs following the AFRINIC-37 Public Policy Meeting held on 24 June 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

During the PPM, five draft policy proposals were discussed for the purpose of consensus determination and one proposal was presented to the Community to gather feedback. Upon conclusion of the AF-37 PPM, , two proposals did not reach rough consensus and have been returned to the RPD mailing list for further discussion. These are:

1. AFPUB-2026-v6-001-DRAFT02: IPv6 as a Criteria in IPv4 Soft Landing

The  following proposal was only presented and no consensus was determined at the prior request of the authors.

3. AFPUB-2026-GEN-001-DRAFT01: PDP Working Group (WG) Guidelines and Procedures

Action Requested:

In accordance with the AFRINIC Policy Development Process, we kindly request that each author:

  1.  Prepare an updated version of the proposal addressing the concerns raised during the PPM discussions and on the RPD mailing list; or

  2.  Notify the PDWG Chairs if you do not wish to proceed with the proposal, in which case it will be formally revoked.

We encourage authors to engage actively with the community on the RPD mailing list to refine the proposals ahead of the next PPM.
