[rpd] [AFRINIC-Announce] Announcement for Final Candidate Slate for Open Seat for the NRO NC and PDWG elections

Cher.e.s Membres du Groupe de Travail du PDP,

C'était au vu des développements récents de la infatuation autour du PDP
avec toutes les controverses observées, que j'ai décidé de me présenter
pour le poste de co-chair.
J'envisageais de mettre ma longue expérience du PDP à la disposition de la
communauté, afin de montrer une manière différente de diriger le groupe de
travail, d'apporter la diversité linguistique car pouvant interagir
directement avec les participants et contributeurs dans une autre langue
que l'anglais.

Cependant, depuis la publication de la liste des candidats ... et en tenant
compte de la saison difficile que nous traversons avec la pandémie, et dans
le but de garantir une certaine stabilité alors que nous traversons cette
situation, et que nous nous préparons pour l’année prochaine, j’ai pris la
décision de *retirer ma candidature* au poste de Co-président du PDP au
*profit* du *Co-chair Sortant* et de le soutenir. J'espère que nous avons
tous appris des leçons, à travers tout ce que nous avons constaté et que
nous ferons mieux à l'avenir.

Dear PDPWG,

In view of recent developments around the PDP with the observed
controversies, I decided to run for the co-chair position.
I was considering to put my long experience with our PDP at the disposal of
the  community, show a different way of leading  the WG, bring language
diversity as can interact directly with participants in another language
than English.
Since the publication of the list of candidates.. and considering the
difficult season we have with the pandemic, and in order to guarantee some
stability as we go through the situation and prepare for next year, I have
made the decision  to *step down* and *support*, the *incumbent co-chair*.
I hope we all learnt some lessons and will do better in future.
