[rpd] [Community-Discuss] Sami's status as a co-chair

At most it would be for one co-chair and the PDP specifies election during a PDWG meeting. Dewole’s term does not expire until some time during the next PDWG meeting.
The PDP specifies that the term handoff is to be agreed by the outgoing and incoming chair.
The fact that the PDP Chairs election procedure is codified in the PDP does make me wonder how the noncom and election committee came to be as involved in the process as they have been, but so long as the PDWG is amenable to that involvement, the PDP as currently written doesn’t preclude it, so I am not questioning its legitimacy, only it’s genesis.
Certainly, however, we will need to elect two Chairs at the Uganda meeting in June. Anyone with an interest in running is free to express that interest at any time.
