[rpd] Appeal against softlanding-bis declaration of consensus

I’ve refuted your arguments without resorting to name calling or ad hominem attacks and I request that you do the same.

I have no doubt that you honestly believe that this proposal is good for the community. Respectfully, I disagree. This doesn’t mean that I think you are a bad person. It doesn’t result in my calling you names or accusing you of trying to hold the community hostage or any other such malevolent action.

Neither have I engaged in any acts of malice towards this community. Your accusations below are unfounded and inaccurate.

Never, once, have you addressed my disagreements with this proposal on the merits of the disagreement. Instead, you stick to this kind of cheap name-calling, accusation, and innuendo. It’s not worthy of good public debate and I call on you here and now to either engage on the actual issues at hand in a collegial manner or at the very least, cease and desist in this campaign of persistent ad hominem attacks against those who disagree.

Still nobody has actually addressed the substance of our arguments against the proposal. Do you have any answer to the issue of unfairness raised repeatedly with regard to the way in which a 24 month waiting period does not protect those in line, but those not yet in line at the expense of providers which need more than a /18 for continued growth? Do you have any response to the merits of my demonstration that it doesn’t even have to be a particularly large provider or a large deployment in order to require more than a /18 every 2 years?

Really, do you have any response whatsoever to the actual merits of what any of us in opposition have said or do you really prefer to limit your comments to ad hominem attacks against those who would stand up for their beliefs in any case where those beliefs disagree with your own?
