Please substantiate these comments – again this is a personal attack on me – and if you wish to cast aspersions – please substantiate them.
What personal problems do I have with who? Where do you get that from?
Monopolize IPs for rich people? Please explain that conclusion.
Either explain – or withdraw – unsubstantiated comments that amount of ad-hominem attacks aren’t appreciated

Hi all,
I am reading all the mail and I am shocked deeply in my heurt.
I want to know what is Afrinic spirit. Afrinic is a personal organization????
Reading the mails it seems like Adrew have a personal issue with people at Afrinic and want to monopolize the IPs for rich peuple.
Please Afrinic members we have obligation to keep IP for all African Citizen in low cost.
Best regards

Thank you for the comment.
The operative words in your comments are :- THE WILL OF A SIGNIFICANT
PORTION OF THE MEMBER BASE
You see this is where the crux of your argument lies and where the problem is.
In your other email you state this same notion that those opposing
contribute 30% of AfriNIC revenue.
- AfriNIC is a non profit company managing a critical resource (IPs)
that is the engine of the internet which the UN already declared a
basic human right.
- Because of this very nature AfriNIC cant sell IPs to highest
bidders in an open market when those highest bidders pay the most
revenue. Otherwise yes I will state again that if this was the case
South Africa as the strongest economy (or one of the strongest) would
just buy off AfriNIC and its miniature IPs and game closed.
- You ostentatiously state that every country should be heard equally.
Thank you for ignoring the fact that the internet penetration rates
and state of the economy in South Africa (where you have convened the
largest opposition) - although it can be better - is light years ahead
of the other 53 African economies whose interests this policy proposal
is trying to protect. To burry your head in the sand and ignore these
realities does not take them away.

Jackson,
I see that you too are now against this policy.
You mention your concern, as should all of ours, be about the lack of
broadband penetration in Africa, then how does limiting the access to
resources help? Preventing companies from getting resources hinders rather
than progresses the rollout of broadband.

Hi Boubakar,

Can someone summarize this for us? I anticipate that it will be very much appreciated.
Sure! In fact, Andrew already anticipated most of that in his email:
BQ_BEGIN
The summary though is as follows:
BQ_END
BQ_BEGIN
BQ_END
BQ_BEGIN
? YES the members can remove a director ? the process would be as follows:
BQ_END
BQ_BEGIN
BQ_END
BQ_BEGIN
? Utilizing clause 7.6.viii of the bylaws invoke an SGMM ? for the purposes of passing a special resolution to amend the bylaws to allow the community to remove a director ? and please note ? that special resolution could set the required voting percentage to remove said director at whatever they liked ? there is now low watermark ? it is subject to whatever is in the constitution (as per section 138.2 of the companies act)
BQ_END
BQ_BEGIN
? Once (a) was completed ? call a second SGMM ? for the express purpose of the removal of one or more directors ? send out the notice of said meeting with the required 14 day notice period - and then pass a resolution as permitted by the process performed in (a)
BQ_END
Many of the details depend on whether legally Resource Members are seen as shareholders of Afrinic, or if only the 9 Registered Members (= the board) are considered as such. It is a question that I honestly have no answer to, and although Andrew expressed his opinion, he does note that he is not a lawyer and would like independent legal counsel on the matter.
Cheers,
Sander
