[rpd] BOARD Response: Last Call for "AFPUB-2016-GEN-001-DRAFT-04 - Internet Number Resources Review by AFRINIC"

Dear Chair of the board,

Fully agree with Owen.

It is not a very reassuring thought to have to go to the very people
one might appeal against in order to get an appeal through!
And if it implies one requires their consent/cooperation as well in
order to proceed, then the system truly gets broken.

This would be seen as a very unpractical solution, separation of
duties and power is needed in order to avoid conflict of interest and
abuse of power.

It does not inspire confidence to the one making the appeal.
Would such a setup survive a procedural audit for transparency and
accountability?

It just doesn't seem practical.
