you are confuse knowledge with academic qualification. a close look at this
industry tell you that is incorrect. we need people who have demonstrate
knowledge by how they speak and write outside the Ivory Tower address real
world problems. A degree may indicate that but it NOT sufficient and to
rely on it is like lazy HR who hire most paper-qualified candidate, neglect
checking and then find the person cannot perform the work.

Especially in area of management, rely on academic qualification is even
more dangerous. I recommend you read detail research proving this in the
book "Managers Not MBAs" by canadian Henry Mintzberg.

When I look at the CV posted, I see majority of them don't even understand
basic idea that you modifier your CV to match the job you are apply for.
Why?

* ignorance - they know
* arrogance - AFRINIC board standard so low they don't even have to
demonstrate they are capable to be directeur

If someone cannot tell difference between CV meant for university job vs
one meant for a board position, it say something bad. I am sorry, but long
list of academic qualification and low number of evidence that you have
manage an organisation make your qualification null.
