[rpd] RE: rpd Digest, Vol 99, Issue 21

Well Akeem lets wait for the response from the Chairman to the questions
asked in my earlier post.

As it stands there is no distinction in bylaws regarding interim, acting or
substantive CEO appointment with respect to article 17.3 of the By-laws.

Appointment of a national of the country hosting AFRINIC headquarters as
CEO be it interim or acting is outrightly against the By-Laws. There is a
reason why article 17.3

There situation even gets further murky when the legal council to AFRINIC
which advises on the interpretation and of the By-Laws is also a national
of the country hosting AFRINIC which exposes a conflict of interest.

If the appointed interim CEO is in contradiction of the By-Laws the board
of directors should proceed to do the necessary correction.

cheers

K.
