Also, let's define the term large-scale. We're talking 20,000 employees
(enterprise) or more than 1,000,000 customers (ISP).

See time frames in there, 5 weeks, planning and implementation, no real
downtime, minimal cost and that's in an organization that has 38 thousand
people on campus every day, using hardware that was never even designed to
do what we did.

 

You don't need months, or years, it CAN be done a lot faster if the effort
is put in.
