[AfriNIC-rpd] Extension of Call for Nominations: AfriNIC PDP-MG

Dear AfriNIC Members,

The period for nominations to the PDP-MG ended on Wednesday 1st of October
2008 1400UTC.

However, since we only received 2 nominations, the interim PDP-MG decided to
extend the nomination period until next Wednesday, 8th October 2008, 14.00
UTC.

Read the text below for more information on the PDP-MG and how to nominate a
candidate:

AfriNIC is seeking nominations for members to the Policy Development
Process-Moderator Group (PDP-MG).
 
The PDP-MG is a voluntary position whose responsibilities include:
* conducting policy discussions during public meetings
* conducting discussions at the Resource Policy Discuss List and the Policy
Development Process in general in conjunction with AfriNIC staff
* evaluating and suggesting consensus in policy discussions
* suggesting the finalization of the discussion on a specific subject at the
Resource Policy Discuss List and
* summoning the creation of Working Groups on the Resource Policy Discuss
List

Prospective candidates must meet at least one (1) of the following
requirements:
* be an AfriNIC member but NOT a member of AfriNIC staff
* be nominated by an AfriNIC member, excluding AfriNIC staff, and belong to
a country from the AfriNIC service area

To nominate a candidate, please send an email  with the subject: "Co-chairs
of the AfriNIC Moderator Group" to ecom08 at afrinic.net with the following
information:
