community dated 29th May 2017, AFRINIC board undertook to
further investigate the matter under reference.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>During the course of the investigation,
statements were obtained from Prof. Quaynor as well as others
who personally witnessed the incident.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Mr Alston, has admitted<span> </span>having
made the improper remarks, the subject matter of the incident
under reference, in a subsequent apology to the Board.</span></p>
<span><span></span>Prof Quaynor has equally apprised the Chairman
and Vice- Chairman of the Board that Mr Alston<span> </span>has
privately <span></span>apologized to him.</span>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span></span><span>The Board has, after
considering the apology tendered, and the nature of the remarks
made, issued a written warning to Mr Alston.</span></p>
