Colleagues,
the Program Committee has tailored the program for the upcoming symposium to respond
to requests for training from the community. We have places open for the FIRST & AfricaCERT Virtual Symposium for the African and Arab Regions taking place over Zoom on December 7-9.
There is no fee to participate. French Translation is available for the plenary.

*Event Overview*
The 2021 FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium for the African and Arab Regions will be held online from December 7-9, 2021.
Participants are expected to be comprised of the IR Community from the African and Arab regions. We also expect to attract network operators, anti-abuse teams,
and other security professionals from the African and Arab regions.
(PLEASE HELP US SHARE THE EVENT WITHIN YOUR NETWORKS)
The event will be presented in English with French translation available during the plenary sessions on December 7.

Observed Malicious Cyber Criminality During COVID in the African and Arab Regions.
- *December 8 – Training Opportunities:* Open-source Tools for Incident Response,
MITRE ATT&CK Fundamentals, CSIRT Maturity Modeling, Protective DNS – Why It Matters and How to Deploy It On-prem. Designing and Running Cyber-exercises for CSIRTs.
- *December 9 – Training Opportunities:* Incident Response and Classification Workshop, Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) Fundamentals, National Cyber Crisis Management.
