OH Ok

I have the answer to one of my previous question here:

The Board is seeking legal advice on whether or not there has been a breach of any NDA, and expects to receive an answer by 30 March 2018.

That said, i can understand clearly that the acknowledge from the person itself was a mistake OR some members of the community misunderstood what he meant.

We are now moving into the world of technicalities

So looks like there’s an argument that as much as information was released to junior members off staff as much as innapropriate that might have been it was not a breach and thus we should take it as acceptable slap the member on the wrist tell him not to do it again and life goes on.

However what I read from community was first a recall of the affected member and if that Fails, a recall of the entire board.

And that seems to be the position between board and community

Am I right?

Thanks,

Raz

Dear AFRINIC community,

The AFRINIC Board has held several meetings recently, including a special meeting today (22 March 2018) to discuss the recent allegations. The Board recognises the severity and importance of the allegations, and intends to act as quickly as reasonable, but without undue haste.

The Board wishes to clarify that the results of the independent investigation are expected to be reported by the Governance Committee on or before 30 April 2018.

The Board is seeking legal advice on whether or not there has been a breach of any NDA, and expects to receive an answer by 30 March 2018.

The budget of USD 15,000 was decided as an amount that the Board expects to be more than sufficient, so as to avoid back and forth approval.

Alan Barrett, CEO, on behalf of the AFRINIC Board
