While”few days” may have very different meanings and is ambiguous, that’s not what Alan said.

As you quoted below, Alan said “…post something next week”. To my knowledge, that’s a pretty
unambiguous statement which means that we can expect him to post something somewhere between
September 18 and September 24. It may be that he gets it out this week, instead, which would be
even better, but worst case, he has constrained himself to no later than September 24 in an unambiguous
way.

The choice of “few days” was entirely your choice of language which you then chose to criticize.

I am very confused by this action.
