AFRINIC participates at AfPIF 2022

AFRINIC is pleased to announce that it will be participating in the Africa Peering and Interconnection Forum 2022 (AfPIF 2022) in Kigali, Rwanda taking place from 23 - 25 August 2022 at Le Marriott Hotel. 

AFRINIC is one of the Silver Sponsors in this year’s edition. 

AfPIF 2022 provides a stage for global and regional insights for maximising opportunities that will help grow Internet infrastructure and services in Africa. AFRINIC will be represented at this event by its staff members.The event targets infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet exchange points (IXPs), mobile network operators (MNOs), content providers, large enterprise networks, policymakers, Internet enthusiasts, and regulators in Africa.

Mr. James Chirwa, the Head of Member Services, Khansa Abdallah, AFRINIC IP Analyst and Mr. Cedrick Mbeyet who will be present at the AFRINIC booth that will be onsite and will provide assistance  on the following:

	• WHOIS Database Support
	• IP Number Resource Membership Process
	• Enrolment for RPKI and ROA creation
	• Internet Routing Registry
	• Support related to our various DNS programs
	• Any other support/assistance you may require

Mrs. Madhvi Gokool, our Senior IP Resources Specialist and Policy Liaison, will also be onsite to assist members in understanding how the currently implemented policies impact them so that they become engaged and assist network operators with their queries regarding membership and resource requests. She will be making a presentation on ‘’Do Resource Policies Matter for IXPs and Their Peers?’ on 25 August 2022 at 16:00 UTC+2. 

Mr. Willy Manga from the Capacity Building Department will be presenting a lighting talk on ‘’How to Stop Learning & Start Deploying IPv6’ on 25 August 2022 at 16:00 UTC+2.
