This is a note of appreciation from the Board for your participation<br>
at the recently concluded AFRINIC-21 meeting.<br>
<br>
The technical sessions were very rich and rewarding. I must commend<br>
the level of discussions at the policy meeting. Your contributions
and<br>
debates were deep and gives one the joy that Africa has finally come<br>
of age. AFRINIC-21 was very successful.<br>
<br>
I would like to acknowledge the contributions of the entire AFRINIC<br>
staff, who gave us the fantastic meeting, without a local host. I<br>
guess their knowledge of the local terrain helped, but I must say it<br>
was their commitment and dedication that did it.<br>
<br>
I appreciate the coordination role played by the CEO, Adiel. He has<br>
not slowed down, even after serving us notice of his departure.

The Board appreciates the concerns of all, regarding our Colleague,

Kris Seeburn who took ill. He is now out of intensive care, and<br>
recuperating. Thank you for the prayers, good wishes and show of<br>
solidarity.<br>

The Board has taken note of the various inputs and suggestions from<br>
the community, regarding the application period for recruiting a new<br>
CEO, and we will soon make a statement once a decision is made in
that<br>
regard.<br>

Chers amis d'AFRINIC,
Le Conseil d'administration d’AFRINIC vous remercie pour votre
participation à la réunion d'AFRINIC-21 qui s'est achevée récemment.
Les sessions techniques ont été très gratifiantes et bénéfiques. Je
félicite le niveau des discussions lors de la réunion sur les
politiques de gestion des ressources Internet. Votre contribution et
votre participation aux débats étaient constructives et nous avons
eu le plaisir de constater que l'Afrique avait enfin atteint sa maturité.
AFRINIC-21 a été une réussite.
Je tiens à souligner la contribution de toute l’équipe d'AFRINIC, le
personnel qui nous a donné une réunion fantastique, et ceci sans
hôte local. Je devine que cela est d<b>û</b> à leur connaissance du
terrain mais je dois dire que leur engagement et leur
dévouement ont fait la différence.
J’apprécie également le rôle de coordinateur joué par le Directeur
général, Adiel. Il ne s'est point désengagé, particulièrement apres avoir transmis son préavis de départ.

Merci à nos sponsors et collaborateurs. Pour rappel n'oubliez pas ma requête de
parrainage pour les 10 prochaines années.
Le Conseil d'administration apprécie tout le soutien reçu à l’égard de
notre collègue, M. Kris Seeburn qui est tombé malade. Il est
maintenant hors de soins intensifs et sur le chemin d'un bon rétablissement.
Merci pour les prières, vœux et démonstration de solidarité.
Le Conseil d'administration a pris note des diverses contributions et
suggestions de la communauté concernant la période pour le
recrutement d'un nouveau directeur général, et nous allons bientôt
faire une déclaration à cet égard une fois qu'une décision est prise.
