[Sent on behalf of the ICANN 2026 Nominating Committee]

Dear colleagues,

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Nominating Committee (NomCom) is now accepting applications for key leadership positions within the ICANN policy councils. These roles provide a rare and meaningful opportunity for leaders to help shape global Internet governance policies and the technical coordination of the Internet’s unique identifier systems.

Your support in sharing this announcement will help ensure a diverse and capable pool of candidates dedicated to upholding the multi-stakeholder model and advancing global Internet policy.

This year, the NomCom is undertaking extra outreach efforts to identify and encourage highly qualified candidates for the important policy-focused positions within ICANN’s Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, specifically:

Two Regional Representatives to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) — one each from Europe and North America

One Member of the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Council

One Member of the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council

These positions play a critical role in advancing policy development that supports the stability, security, and openness of the global Internet. We want to highlight that these policy roles include travel support for participation in ICANN’s face-to-face meetings, enabling leaders to engage directly in essential multi-stakeholder discussions worldwide.

Application Deadline: 18 February 2026, 23:59 UTC
