[AFRINIC-Announce] Call for Nominations on the AFRINIC Board is Open

[AFRINIC Communication]

Dear colleagues,

The Nomination Committee 2025 (NomCom 2025) is pleased to announce the opening of  nominations for candidates in the 2025 election for AFRINIC Board of Directors. The Call for nominations for candidates open from 12 to 26 May 2025.

The available seats on AFRINIC's Board of Directors for the 2025 elections are as follows:

*Seat One: North Africa*

*Seat Two: West Africa*

*Seat Three: Indian Ocean*

*Seat Four: Central Africa*

*Seat Five: Southern Africa*

*Seat Six: Eastern Africa*

*Seat Seven: Region-Independent*

*Seat Eight: Region-Independent*


Each seat can only be held by one candidate. A natural person residing in the above sub-regions, as stated, may be nominated for Seats 1, 2, 3, 
4, 5 and 6. A natural person from any sub-regions may be nominated for Seats 7 and 8.

Elected candidates will serve a three-year term only with respect to Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 as set out in Articles 13.4(i) and 13.5 of 
the AFRINIC Bylaws.

Elected candidates will serve a three-year term only with respect to Seats 7 and 8 as set out in Articles 13.4(ii) and 13.5 of the 
AFRINIC Bylaws.
