[AFRINIC-Announce] Electronic voting & proxy appointment now open for the AFRINIC Board and Governance Committee elections 2021

Dear Members,

AFRINIC members and the community are hereby informed that electronic voting  is now open for the AFRINIC Board and Governance Committee elections. Both services are accessible through the MyAFRINIC portal to AFRINIC members in good standing.

Members will be able to vote and use the electronic voting provision via the MyAFRINIC portal.

1) Electronic Voting

Only a registered administrative contact of your organization can vote electronically. The admin-contact can also assign the voting right (through MyAFRINIC) to another registered contact.

How to vote

Eligible voters are reminded that since the AGMM is being held virtually, all voting will de-facto be held electronically.

Members can cast their votes through their ‘registered contact’ (also known as ‘Administrative Contact’) or by proxy.

Online Voting (e-voting)

If you are the registered Administrative Contact of your organisation, you have been assigned by default the voting right which grants you the privilege to cast your vote electronically.  You could also assign that right (through MyAFRINIC) to another registered contact of your organisation to vote on your behalf.  

   To vote electronically, please follow the following steps:
   a.     Log on to MyAFRINIC at https://my.afrinic.net/login <https://my.afrinic.net/login>;
   b.     Navigate to ‘Election’ and ‘Access Election Centre’;
   c.     Select the election in which you wish to participate;
   d.     Choose the option ‘Vote Online’.

   To assign the online voting right to another registered contact of your organisation:
   a.     Log on to MyAFRINIC at https://my.afrinic.net/login <https://my.afrinic.net/login> ;
   b.     Navigate to ‘My Account’ and ‘User Administration’;
   c.     Check the ‘Voter Role’ to a corresponding listed contact

Electronic voting will be closed during the AGMM on 4 June 2021 at (xxxUTC). Proxy appointment will close 5 days prior to the elections on 29 May 2021.

Les membres d'AFRINIC et la communauté sont informés que le vote électronique est désormais ouvert pour les élections du Conseil d'administration et du Comité de gouvernance d'AFRINIC. Ces deux services sont accessibles via le portail MyAFRINIC aux membres AFRINIC en règle.

Les membres pourront voter et utiliser la disposition de vote électronique via le portail MyAFRINIC.

1) Vote électronique

Seul un contact administratif enregistré de votre organisation peut voter par voie électronique. Le contact administratif peut également attribuer le droit de vote (via MyAFRINIC) à un autre contact enregistré.

Comment voter

Il est rappelé aux électeurs éligibles qu'étant donné que l'AGMM se tient virtuellement, tous les votes se feront de facto par voie électronique.

Les membres peuvent voter par l'intermédiaire de leur "contact enregistré" (également appelé "contact administratif") ou par procuration.

Vote en ligne (e-voting)

Si vous êtes le contact administratif enregistré de votre organisation, vous avez reçu par défaut le droit de vote qui vous donne le privilège d'exprimer votre vote par voie électronique.  Vous pouvez également céder ce droit (via MyAFRINIC) à un autre contact enregistré de votre organisation pour qu'il vote en votre nom.  

   Pour voter par voie électronique, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :
   a.     Connectez-vous à MyAFRINIC à l'adresse https://my.afrinic.net/login <https://my.afrinic.net/login> ;
   b.     Naviguez vers "Election" et "Accès au centre de vote" ;
   c.     Sélectionnez l'élection à laquelle vous souhaitez participer ;
   d.     Choisissez l'option "Vote en ligne".

   Pour attribuer le droit de vote en ligne à un autre contact enregistré de votre organisation :
   a.     Connectez-vous à MyAFRINIC à l'adresse https://my.afrinic.net/login <https://my.afrinic.net/login> ;
   b.     Naviguez vers "Mon compte" et "Administration des utilisateurs" ;
   c.     Vérifiez le "rôle d'électeur" pour un contact correspondant listé.

Le vote électronique sera clos pendant l'AGMM le 4 juin 2021 à 10:40 UTC. La nomination des mandataires sera clôturée 5 jours avant les élections, le 29 mai 2021.
