The search for the AFRINIC’s next chief executive officer is over. Mr. Eddy Mabano Kayihura has been selected to be next CEO after a rigorous recruitment process.  Mr. Kayihura will join AFRINIC  04 November 2019.

Mr. Kayihura, 43, brings on board a wealth of experience acquired over a period of more than 20 years as a chief executive officer, chief information technology officer (CIO), a network engineer, software developer among other positions in the IT and Telecommunications industry. Before his appointment as AFRINIC’s CEO, Mr. Kayihura has been working as a telecommunications, financial technology (fintech), and IT infrastructure consultant in Rwanda. Between December 2016 and December 2018, he was the CIO at the Bank of Kigali, the largest Bank in Rwanda, where he managed a team of over 70 engineers and business specialists in charge of running both the IT department as well as the Digital business of the Bank. He has also been the Executive Chairman of Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA). He also worked as the CEO of Broadband Systems Corporation in Rwanda for more than three years between September 2013 and December 2016.  Mr. Kayihura has contributed to the growth of the IXP ecosystem in Africa as a workshop facilitator on the AXIS project under ISOC and African Union.
Mr. Kayihura holds an MBA International Business from Oklahoma Christian University, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the National University of Rwanda, Kigali, Rwanda, and numerous other professional qualifications.
 
Mr. Kayihura joins us at a time when AFRINIC is beefing up its operational capacity, and it is our view that he has the required experience and expertise to drive these changes, as well as ensuring the organisation continues to be a major catalyst for both Internet development and use in Africa.

La recherche du prochain directeur général d’AFRINIC est terminée. M. Eddy Mabano Kayihura a été choisi pour devenir le prochain DG après un processus de recrutement rigoureux. M. Kayihura rejoindra AFRINIC le 4 novembre 2019.

M. Kayihura, âgé de 43 ans, possède une vaste expérience acquise au cours de plus de 20 ans en tant que CEO, chief information technology officer, ingénieur réseau, développeur de logiciels, entre autres, dans les secteurs de l'informatique et des télécommunications. Avant sa nomination au poste de DG d’AFRINIC, M. Kayihura était consultant en télécommunications, en technologie financière (fintech) et en infrastructure informatique au Rwanda. 

De décembre 2016 à décembre 2018, il était CIO à la Bank of Kigali, la plus grande banque du Rwanda, où il dirigeait une équipe de plus de 70 ingénieurs et de spécialistes en gestion des affaires du département informatique et du Digital business de la Banque. Il a également été président exécutif de la Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA). Il a également travaillé en tant que DG de Broadband Systems Corporation au Rwanda pendant plus de trois ans entre septembre 2013 et décembre 2016. M. Kayihura a contribué à la croissance de l’écosystème des IXP en Afrique en tant que facilitateur d'atelier sur le projet AXIS sous l'ISOC et l’Union africaine. 

M. Kayihura est titulaire d'un MBA International Business de la Oklahoma Christian University, d'un baccalauréat en sciences de la technologie de l'information de l'Université nationale du Rwanda à Kigali (Rwanda) et d'autres nombreuses qualifications professionnelles.
 
M. Kayihura se joint à nous à un moment où AFRINIC renforce ses capacités opérationnelles. Nous estimons qu'il dispose de l'expérience et de l'expertise requises pour mener à bien ces changements tout en veillant à ce que l'organisation continue d'être un catalyseur majeur pour le développement et l’utilisation de l'internet en Afrique.

انتهى البحث عن الرئيس التنفيذي التالي لشركة AFRINIC. تم اختيار السيد إدي مابانو كاييهورا ليكون الرئيس التنفيذي التالي بعد عملية توظيف صارمة. سينضم السيد كاييهورا إلى AFRINIC في 4 نوفمبر 2019.

يتمتع السيد كاييهورا ، البالغ من العمر 43 عامًا ، بخبرة واسعة اكتسبها على مدار أكثر من 20 عامًا كرئيس تنفيذي وكبير موظفي تقنية المعلومات (CIO) ، ومهندس شبكات ، ومطور برامج ، من بين مناصب أخرى في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات صناعة. قبل تعيينه في منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة AFRINIC ، يعمل السيد Kayihura كمستشار للاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية والتكنولوجيا المالية (fintech) ومستشار البنية التحتية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات في رواندا. بين ديسمبر 2016 وديسمبر 2018 ، شغل منصب رئيس قسم المعلومات في بنك كيغالي ، أكبر بنك في رواندا ، حيث أدار فريقًا يضم أكثر من 70 مهندسًا ومتخصصًا في الأعمال مكلفًا بإدارة كل من قسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأعمال الرقمية في البنك. كما شغل منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لتحالف مجتمع الإنترنت والتكنولوجيا في رواندا (RICTA). كما عمل أيضًا كرئيس تنفيذي لشركة Broadband Systems Corporation في رواندا لأكثر من ثلاث سنوات بين سبتمبر 2013 وديسمبر 2016. وقد ساهم السيد كاييهورا في نمو النظام البيئي IXP في أفريقيا كميسر ورشة عمل حول مشروع AXIS في إطار ISOC و African اتحاد.
يحمل السيد كاييهورا شهادة ماجستير في إدارة الأعمال الدولية من جامعة أوكلاهوما كريستيان ، وبكالوريوس العلوم في تكنولوجيا المعلومات من جامعة رواندا الوطنية ، كيغالي ، رواندا ، والعديد من المؤهلات المهنية الأخرى.
