[AfriNIC-announce] AfriNIC-8: Call for presentation

Dear Colleagues and Members

The next AfriNIC Public Policy Meeting will be held in Rabat, Morocco
in conjunction with AfNOG 2008 from 04 to 06 June 2008. AfriNIC meetings
are open forums for Internet Operators and the community in general to
discuss issues related to the Internet Protocol and Number resource
management within the AfriNIC service region.

For this 8th meeting, we invite applications from volunteers who would
like to present their work and/or experience on relevant topics. The
proposed presentations should be non-commercial in nature and highlight
research or solutions related to issues on the Internet protocol usage.

The duration of the presentations should be between 10 and 30 minutes.
Presentations covering the following area will be appreciated:

- IP addresses management Policy
- IPv6 deployment
- Internet Routing
- Mobility & IP
- Anti-Spam

If you would like to make a presentation, please send your proposal to
meeting at afrinic.net on or before February 25th 2008.

Your proposal should contain the following information:

- Full Name
- Email Address
- Affiliation
- Short biography
- Title of presentation
- A detailed abstract or outline describing the presentation
- Draft slides for the presentation (if ready/available)
- Length of talk (minutes)
- Need (or not) for sponsorship or assistance to attend the meeting
(travel and/or accommodation, etc) (*)

The audience at AfriNIC meetings is mainly composed of technical network
operators and engineers with a wide range of experience levels from
beginners to several years of experience.

application for fellowship and AfriNIC can not guarantee sponsorship
for presenters. If you wish to request for fellowship, please apply
separately for AfriNIC fellowship or explore other funding options.
