[afrinic-announce] NRO-NC Appointment

Dear Colleagues and Members,

We would like to inform you that the AfriNIC Board has re-appointed
Alan P. Barrett to the NRO-NC (Number Resource Organisation - Number
Council) for a period of 3 years starting 01/01/2007.

In the same line, the board has decided to suspend the representation
of Sylvia Geha Kezengwa at the NRO-NC and replace her for the rest of
her mandate (till 31 Dec 2007) by Ali Drissa Badiel who earned the
next highest number of votes at the election when Sylvia was elected
by the AfriNIC community. That decision is due to the fact that Sylvia
has not participated to the work of the NC and has never attended any
conference call since she was elected.

Please join us in congratulating the newly appointed and wishing them
success in their work at the NC.
