The announcement clearly differentiates the various events as below - no attempt to hijack or be dishonest;

We planned and accounced this forum after AfriNIC and AfNOG have announced and fixed their schedules. We have also communicated our intentions of co-operating and collaborating with regional institutions like AfNOG and AfriNIC. 

For us in AfrISPA, we have resolved to work together with other regional organs because we need that united force to deal with the larger issues that confront our continent and we hope that you join us in that resolve.
