Hi Paolos,

I was able to go to the NREN event.  While I saw Pierre and Adiel
there, I don't think it was in any way an "AfriNIC" event.

Here is the link to the page that lists the sponsors of this event. 
As you can see, AfriNIC was not listed as a sponsor.

I agree with you that it would be useful to have these events posted
in a variety of places in well in advance.
