Hi all,

Please note that a number of new WGIG papers have been posted. Please see
http://www.wgig.org and follow the links, plus an explanation, or go

These documents outline the positions and various recommendations coming
from the WGIG and give an idea of what their feedback to the UN Secretary
General and final input to WSIS in Tunis will be.

A scary point to note regarding IP address administration are comments such
as:

" Although it can be said  that the current management system and
distribution of responsibilities for number allocation has worked  so far,
the rapid increase of demand and utilization of the internet requires a
review of the current  numbering management approach to ensure equitable
distribution of resources and access for all. "

Please take some time to go through the site, read the various papers and
make comments via the online forms - we need to protect the internet and
keep it from being over-politicised and at worst "governmentalised"
