This is to invite you to an urgent AfrISPA Press Conference today the 3rd of Febuary 2005 at 1200GMT at the Press Centre of the Accra International Conference Centre (please ask for directions).

At this Press briefing AfrISPA is going to issue an official position on the development and financing of African ICT Infrastructure which we propose should be given high priority on the financing of ICT4D within the action items of the WSIS Process.

The African Internet Service Providers Association (AfrISPA, www.afrispa.org) is a non-profit regional trade corporation that represent the interest of Internet Service Providers with a focus to develop Internet infrastructure in Africa. 

Incorporated in Mauritius, AfrISPA has a distributed organisational and office structure with the Chairman, Mr. William Stucke in South Africa, the Secretary, Mr. Eric Osiakwan in Ghana, the Treasurer, Mr. Viv Padayatchy in Mauritius, the General Manager, Mr. Brain Longwe in Kenya and the Francophone Representative Mr. Didier Kasole in DR Congo. It is overseen by a Board whose representation is from member ISPAs.
