Dear AIS PC Team,

Hope you all had great holidays.

We are now back for another AIS PC series 2016. 

As you may know AIS’16 will take place in Gaborone Botswana from 29 May to 10 June.

The AIS trainings will be held from 29 May to 6 June. The Plenaries will take place from 6 to 10 June. https://internetsummitafrica.org/programme/agenda

This year we are welcoming on board a new member -  Nishal Goburdhan.

Important dates for AIS’16:

• Call for presentations opens –  10 February 2016
• Deadline for submitting an application –    10 March 2016
• Notification of acceptance of application – 17 March 2016
• Deadline for submission of draft presentations  –  17 April 2016
• Submission of  final presentation - 24 May 2016
 

Last year we called for presentations on the following topics:

• The Internet and Economic Development
• Business Practices and Technology
• Higher Education in the Age of Technology
• Cyber Security
• Technology and Business
• Cloud Computing

• Relations between Mobile Operators and the Internet Community
• Mobile Applications
• IPv6
• Peering and Interconnection
• DNS
• RPKI
• IXPs 

Please share your views on above list and if you think we could include additional topics, please send your suggestions by 08 February.

We should be able to open the call for presentations by Wednesday 10 February.
