work scope among several focus groups to provide a more specialized approach and measurable targets.<br><br>Focus groups<br><br>1. National and Governmental Focus Group<br><br>The Mandate:<br><br>This FG will assist governmental members and policy makers in defining and promoting a clear dated roadmap for the IPv6 implementation strategies on their large national networks and backbones.<br><br>2. Transit and Peering Focus Group<br><br>The Mandate:<br><br>This FG will assist transit and peering providers in developing and implementing processes and best practice scenarios to assist with the proper and efficient deployment of IPv6 in their networks.<br><br>3. DNS and Web Focus Group<br><br>The Mandate:<br><br>This FG will assist ccTLDs, host and content providers in promotion and diffusion of IPv6 capable services on their networks.<br><br>4. Security and applications Focus Group<br><br>The
Mandate:<br><br>This FG will facilitate collaboration between academic and research organizations in the development of IPv6 tools, applications and devices. The FG will attempt to actively contribute to the international standards and specification bodies tasked with IPv6 matters.<br><br>5. Mobile Focus Group<br><br>The Mandate:<br><br>This FG will assist Mobile operators in defining and promoting a clear dated roadmap for the IPv6 implementation strategies on their networks in preparation for Mobile Internet and LTE services.<br><br><br><br>All of these FGs will report back to a steering committee elected from the active members participating in the different FG. <br><br>The Secretariat will be provided by AfriNIC and will work with the Steering Committee to support each of the FGs, the scope will include also material preparation, meeting organization, maintaining a mailing list for discussion, along side with hosting and publishing the
