thanks Mukom for coming in too...

im not static ... im dynamic.... i would love to get ideas...

the way i see my network.... i would like to deploy IPv6 to some machines (hosts) while other machiens (hosts) are on IPv4.... and i would like the two parts to be able to communicate...

then gradually i will phasing out IPv4.....

to start this already i have a testing environment with many hosts on IPv4 and only one host on IPv6..... these two can't talk to each other.... i want them to talk... so that i can expand my deployment....

now.... how best can i arrive at this ?

clarifying:
do you mean "I want IPv6 hosts talking to IPv4 hosts and vice versa"? that is not dual stack (which is IPv4 talking to IPv4 and IPv6 talking to IPv6)if yes, then what you need is a *Translation* technique

this is possible by enabling NAT64 in the router between the two networks……..

yes NAT64 is a translation technique used in a very specific scenario — where an IPv6-only client initiates a connection AND relies on a DNS resolver (enabled with DNS64) for name resolution.
why are you so sure NAT64 is what you need in this situation?
