Se il vous plaît pardonnez-moi pour le retard dans la mise à jour vous<br>
sur le recrutement du PDG d'AfriNIC. Je espère que vous allez accepter<br>
mes excuses.<br>

Le Conseil était très optimiste avec le calendrier initial, conscient<br>
des difficultés dans la pratique, mais nous avons fait de notre mieux<br>
pour le suivre. Cependant, les circonstances dictent que nous ajustons<br>
maintenant, et si besoin est, nous allons ajuster de nouveau à l'avenir.<br>
<br>
Bien que je avais prévu de vous informer fréquemment, sort a joué une<br>
main très cruel sur moi, un jour avant d'envoyer ma dernière mise à<br>
jour pour vous. Mon père est mort. Comme la première Fils, et en ligne<br>
avec notre coutume et la tradition, je ai dû organiser ses<br>
funérailles. Je ai déménagé dans mon village, où je ai eu un accès<br>
très intermittent et peu fiable à Internet. Je ai été coupée de mes<br>
collègues pour la plupart du temps.<br>

Le Conseil dans ce délai, a continué à travailler selon notre plan<br>
convenu. La nécessité d'adapter le calendrier aujourd'hui, provient du<br>
fait que le Conseil a vu beaucoup de sens dans la demande de la<br>
communauté à se impliquer dans le processus de sélection du directeur<br>
général.<br>

Le Conseil et son comité de sélection directeur général a débattu<br>
longuement et ont convenu d'avoir un comité d'entrevue qui comprend<br>
des membres du comité de recherche, un représentant de la communauté,<br>
un représentant du CdE et un représentant de la Communauté RIR.<br>
Composition et obtenir la disponibilité des membres de l'extérieur ont<br>
pris un certain temps, malheureusement, mais tellement.<br>
<br>
Le Conseil est cependant assuré que cette action permettra d'accroître<br>
la transparence dans le processus d'embauche du nouveau directeur<br>
général, quel que soit le temps perdu dans le processus, parce que<br>
nous avons déjà un directeur général par intérim de gérer les affaires<br>
de l'organisation, d'une manière appropriée.<br>
<br>
Tous ces facteurs ont conduit le Conseil de recalibrer le recrutement<br>
temps-ligne comme suit:<br>

entrevues pour les cinq premiers candidats seront effectués entre le<br>
15 février et le 28 février 2015.<br>
<br>
Le comité d'entrevue se compose de:<br>

l'évaluation à 360 degrés qui sera lors d'une réunion à l'Ile Maurice<br>
en face-à-face entre le 9 et le 12 mars 2015.<br>

Le Conseil se réunira pour sélectionner le directeur général le 15<br>
Mars 2015.<br>

Les négociations contractuelles seront entre le 16 et le 21 Mars 2015<br>

Le directeur général sera nommé le 27 Mars 2015.<br>

Les candidats ont été informés des ajustements à la fois en ligne et<br>

Please pardon me for the delay in updating you on the recruitment of<br>
the AFRINIC CEO. I trust you will accept my apology.<br>
<br>
The Board was very optimistic with the initial timeline, mindful of<br>
the difficulties in practice but we did our best to follow it.<br>
However, circumstances dictate that we adjust it now, and if need be,<br>
we will adjust again in future.<br>
<br>
Though I had planned to notify you frequently, fate played a very<br>
cruel hand on me, a day before sending my last update to you. My<br>
Father died. As the first Son, and in line with our custom and<br>
tradition, I had to arrange his funeral. I relocated to my village,<br>
where I had very intermittent and unreliable access to the Internet. I<br>
was cut-off from my colleagues for most of the time.<br>
<br>
The Board within that period, continued to work according to our<br>
agreed plan. The need to adjust the timetable now, stems from the fact<br>
that the Board saw a lot of sense in the request from the community to<br>
be involved in the CEO selection process.<br>
<br>
The Board and its CEO Selection Committee discussed this extensively<br>
and agreed on having an Interview Panel that includes search committee<br>
members, a community representative, a CoE representative and a<br>
representative of the RIR Community. Composition and getting the<br>
availability of outside members took some time, regrettably, but so.<br>
<br>
The Board is however assured that this action will increase the<br>
transparency in the process of hiring the new CEO, regardless of the<br>
time lost in the process, because we already have an Interim CEO<br>
managing the affairs of the organization, in a proper manner.<br>
<br>
All these factors have led the Board to recalibrate the recruitment<br>
time-line as follows:<br>
<br>
interviews for top five candidates will be done between 15th Feb. and<br>
28th Feb. 2015.<br>
<br>
The Interview Panel consists of:<br>
