Selon l’Agence nationale des infrastructures et des fréquences (ANINF),
tout le monde peut avoir accès à un nom de domaine ayant une extension
en « .ga », les nationaux comme les étrangers. « Le Gabon s’efforce avec
vigueur de devenir un des principaux centres informatiques d’Afrique
(…) En offrant gratuitement nos noms de domaine .GA, nous pouvons
encourager les entreprises et les particuliers du Gabon à développer
leur présence sur le Web ainsi que des applications Web, ce qui
permettra de diversifier notre économie et de promouvoir le commerce
électronique. Cette stratégie constitue un élément important de notre
vision du pays visant à développer le Gabon numérique », a affirmé
Cyriaque Kouma, le directeur du projet Domaine Internet Gabon (DIG).
L’ANINF a expliqué que les domaines .GA gratuits fonctionnent exactement
comme les autres extensions et peuvent être renouvelés gratuitement à
la fin de chaque période d’enregistrement. Les noms de domaine sont
disponibles selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. </font>
