Thank you for the update.<br>

While supporting this initiative which will certainly boost the
development of the DNS industry in Africa, I suggest to put in place
some mechanisms to make the voice of end users or registrants counts
in the process.<br>
<br>
It is also important to start now doing some communication and
marketing work around this initiative in order to have more sponsors
(regional and international) for the future editions instead of only
ICANN and ISOC. <br>
<br>
Lastly, I would like to have some updates about the preparation of
the upcoming Africa DNS Forum. What will be its format? The forum
will be "business" oriented or "policy and best practices sharing"
oriented? or both? I was planning since once year with others
stakeholders to start a similar concept. To avoid duplication of
initiatives, we are open to join the organization of the upcoming
edition in Durban.<br>

framework of the Africa strategy, ICANN
Africa, in partnership with the AfTLD
and ISOC
Africa has established an award
committee to initiate the award program
for
registries and registrars in Africa and
to define an annual program for the DNS
industry.</span><br>

Award programme is being launched today
(2nd May 2013) and will take us to the
ICANN 47 in Durban next July when the
initial awards will be given out.<br>
