<div>The list is working fine. We have a few incidents of abuse what we need to do is fix them. Drastic measures are not necessary. The Diversity of the list members and their thinking is the value of the list. Even when someone will go to length to argue
a very clear point insisting that 1+1 could equal to more than 2.</div>

<div>At the end of the day the community being other members on the list silent and vocal will make their decisions based on their own understanding of the situation.</div>

<div>We are at this point because of the passion we all have for what we do and for Africa. Some of us passion will blind us to push an agenda at all costs. That happened and the perpetrator accepted and offered an apology and seems to have decided to be
silent. However we have other members who still think that was not wrong and will try everything to justify the simple fact that 1+1 can equal 10. </div>

<div>Here again we have seen un unprecedented deterioration where personal insults have been thrown to highly respected community members which I think is very wrong. There has just been one simple question asked and never been answered. ( I personally have
made up my conclusion on the avoidance. "You only claim the 5th amendment when a response could implicate you").</div>

<div>Which takes me back to the definition of credibility. 1) intent ( what is the intent of the listers taking the positions they try to defend and what value is it for the community. ) Give due credit belated as it may be to Ms Sofia for accepting her
wrong.</div>
<div>2) Integrity ----how can I honestly measure the integrity of one who will defend a wrong where that person who wronged has accepted the wrong ??? But they go to length to defend the wrong even stooping low enough to insult a respected member of our community.
( you do not need to like someone to respect them) </div>

<div>3) Capabilities .. We all in our spheres have capabilities and that is our contribution to our society and community but we need to accept that some are more capable than us and have delivered allot more than we have. </div>

<div>4) Results….. Since the list got personal again we need to look at the credibilities from how we evaluate results and I would suggest we look at 3 simple indicators: past performance, current performance, and anticipated performance. </div>

<div>I think when we look at those simple points we know where the credibility in this entire saga goes. </div>

<div>I honestly would like to ask those wanting to make us accept a wrong to call it a day. There is and will be allot more to discuss on this list. We cannot change our list policies and principles to fit into how they see the world. I.e a wrong can be
transferred to other people to justify the end. </div>

<div>4. Send etiquette to emails harvested from step 1. </div>
<div>6. Interested persons wanting to participate in wholesome, progressive discussions should subscribe to new list created in step 3. </div>

<div>I have studied several platforms/strategies/processes for public policy dialogue that lead towards substantive policy change. Online discussions is one useful and effective but not the only way.
