<div style="text-align:left">Oga Nii, </div><div><br></div><div>Please explain what you wish to say...short responses such as that may leave us colleagues make up what you are thinking - and may get it wrong (totally). I for one would not mind reading an opinion in full - not in "two word sentences" as I can not read your mind - please.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I thought we stopped that kind of responses since we need to build a common understanding? It is ok in the Army where Commanders give Orders - not in this forum please. </div><div><br></div><div>Who is accusing who for what, how and why? Is it true or not and why so? - that kind of thing. Consider below as an example:</div>
<div><br></div><div>I have repeatedly stated that there have been lies, behind the scene activities and misrepresentations in this <.africa> scramble - evidence is out there - the way a Group for Strategy for Africa was formed and a series of other actions without wide consultations say it all - let alone dragging politicians into ICANN process and holding impromptu meetings and to 'take advantage of the opportunity' - all that constitute to abuse of influential positions individuals have been trusted to serve in. There is nothing like "quick fixing" when it comes to global issues which concern a region (Africa) - why has there been a rush? It is not the case of grabbing issues and running away with - there is almost a Billion? Africans who may be affected by a unilateral decisions by small self-selected Groups who speak for Africa. I for one fail to accept that - sad.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I think our relative poverty [since we believe we are poor (but with vast resources)] has made some of fellow Africans comfortable to abuse the positions and capacities they happen to serve in. That is why we have this mess to deal with. Ignorance is very expensive position to be in - why? Because some 'clever' individuals will thrive on that - if not, why not consult widely on issues concerning us all? </div>
<div><br></div><div>BTW I am addressing this to us all who can access and read this email - there are millions who can not -let us think about that. Sadly we can rumble and push-and-pull each other ONLINE because we have the opportunity - mostly not us picking the bill - some other organisation pays for it - including global travels (I know that I have been there - with ICANN and some NGOs) - can we try to be truthfully representatives of Africa Region for once? </div>
<div><br></div><div>What I would like to hear is about the massive discrediting of DCA to benefit .ZA application for <.africa> - any truthful stories please? Why not the process go ahead and competition be fair? Why involve Governments and Regional Structures more that what was agreed as a policy of ICANN? Why atatck individuals following the gTLD applications? Why Early Warning by a Constituent of ICANN become a big issue? Mind you the applicants have invested funds not words in the process - therefore expect fair competition - not what we have been doing fighting on the Ring Side by asking for Government's interventions - Guidelines have stipulated that. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Let us stop the culture of rumors and gossip - be open as I have just done.</div><div><br></div><div>Need I say more on this?</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers</div><div><br></div><div>Yassin </div><div>

<div><br></div><div>What has poisoned .africa is as you know very well is when individual benefit became a priority - and for free or through negative influence and to the large extent with lies! The poison is ego and money - that is what all the arguments and unfair fight is for. This has gone too far away from the fair competition in business - I believe there is evidence for this based on the way the battle (not competition) has been going.</div>
<div><br></div><div>May I state that I do not intend Kalvin or anyone else who does not know me well label me since I believe that what I am doinfd and standing for is fairness without favour. </div><div><br></div><div>
Lastly, what I have seen is a number of Conflicts of Interest in the air and I do not accept groupings within Africa as it has shamefully happened. My support to DCA business model is there since it does not include or use political space that is taken advantage of such as when AUC was dragged into Internet business activity as a way of discrediting DCA. I am sad to say that, that is a conflict - we should have let ICANN process go ahead unhindered.</div>
