<p>You are right --- none of these can be classified as Critical Infrastructure; but I was merely answering the question "What is there to attack in Africa"</p>
<p>Now tying it to your query on Critical Infrastructure, I meant the examples I enumerated to serve as a microcosm of the kind of threats our gov'ts face.</p>
<p>The response of gov't on both these, and other attacks ( e.g where they just put back the same vulnerable system online only to be hacked again) is telling of the gov'ts ability to respond to attacks.</p>
<p>The African country I come from uses SCADA to monitor its high voltage powerlines (where fibre also passes). Considering how they responded to mere website attacks, my point in the previous email is: how can I expect them to do better with the SCADA system if it came under a sophisticated attack, if they couldn't patch a CMS or implement secure webserver configurations.</p>
<p>And I guess there is an example of CI tht can attacked: Electric grid monitored by SCADA :-)<br></p>
