« fondamentaux et le déploiement de l’IPv6 » organisé avec succès à Douala, Cameroun du 11 au 14 septembre 2012.<BR>FRANCAIS:<BR><BR>Chers collègues,<BR><BR> Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer que le Chapitre Cameroun de l’Internet Society (ISOC Cameroon Chapter) vient d’organiser avec succès un deuxième atelier de formation IPv6 (mécanismes de migration IPv4-IPv6 et déploiement de l’IPv6) de quatre jours (11 – 14 septembre 2012) à Douala au Cameroun. Cet atelier fait partie de la réalisation du Project Impact IPv6 (www.impactipv6.net) initié par ISOC Cameroon Chapter et soutenu financièrement par Internet Society à travers le programme de subventions à la Communauté. <BR><BR> Le dit atelier, dirigé par Janvier Ngnoulaye assisté à distance par Mukom Tamon d’AfriNIC a été suivi par 9 ingénieurs réseaux issus des Fournisseurs d’Accès Internet (FAI), des grandes entreprises
privés, de l’administration publique et de l’Université de Douala. Il avait pour objectif de donner aux participants les fondamentaux du nouveau protocole Internet IPv6 et son déploiement. Un accent particulier à été a mis sur les sujets suivants :<BR><BR>• Bref aperçu de la Gouvernance technique de l’Internet et des Standards Internet Ouverts : Cas des adresses IP.<BR>• Problématique d’épuisement des adresses IPv4 et présentation de la solution : IPv6 ;<BR>• Présentation de l’adressage en IPv6 et configurations des hôtes sous différents systèmes d’exploitation ;<BR>• Routage en IPv6 (OSPFv3, BGPv4…) ;<BR>• Configuration des applications en IPv6 ;<BR>• Planification et mécanismes de migration vers IPv6 ;<BR><BR> Certains de ces sujets étaient accompagnés des travaux pratiques sur les
laboratoires distants de test gracieusement mis à notre disposition par 6Deploy.<BR><BR> Nous tenons à exprimer une fois de plus notre gratitude et nos remerciements à l’Internet Society (www.internetsociety.org), à AfriNIC (www.afrinic.net) et à 6deploy (www.6deploy.eu). IPv6 Project: An "IPv6 Fundamentals Workshop successfully organized in Douala, Cameroon from 11 to 14 September 2012.<BR><BR>Dear Colleagues,<BR><BR> We are pleased to announce that the Cameroon Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC Cameroon Chapter) has successfully organized a second four days IPv6 Fundamentals training workshop (11 to 14 September 2012) in Douala, Cameroon. <BR>The workshop was part of the implementation of the Project “Impact IPv6” (www.impactipv6.net) initiated by ISOC Chapter Cameroon and sponsored by the Internet Society through the Community Grants Programme.<BR><BR> This workshop, led by Janvier Ngnoulaye assisted remotely by Mukom Tamon of AfriNIC was attended by nine network engineers from the Internet Service Providers (ISPs), large private companies, public administration and the University of Douala. This workshop aimed to give participants the fundamentals of the new Internet
protocol IPv6 has focused on the following topics:<BR>• Brief overview of the Internet Technical Governance and Open Internet Standards development: Case of IP addresses;<BR>• The IPv4 address exhaustion and presentation of the solution: IPv6;<BR>• Overview of IPv6 addressing and host configurations under different operating systems;<BR>• IPv6 routing (OSPFv3, BGPv4 ...);<BR>• Configuring of applications and services in IPv6;<BR>• Planning and mechanisms for IPv4 – Ipv6 migration.<BR><BR>Some of these subjects were accompanied by hands-on Labs exercises on remote IPv6 labs testbeds graciously put at our disposal by 6Deploy.<BR><BR> We wish to express once again our recognition and thanks to the Internet Society (www.internetsociety.org) AfriNIC (www.afrinic.net) and 6deploy (www.6deploy.eu).<BR>Our appreciation and
