Hi Pierre,<br><br>Thanks for the clarification, the initiative is great and i have no problem with the team chosen since you understand African issues very well, i have Interacted with all of you and i have no doubt you are up to the task, as i pointed out before it was a bit confusing when i read the questionnaire because i am sitting in the midst of a community of stakeholders and i am not sure whether i should fill it alone or whether i can share it to collect their input which i find appropriate, secondly in all the national and regional meetings i have participated in we have heard interesting questions about what ICANN is its role and mandate, i think we should tap into this regional fora and related stake holder institutions to get more feedback (bottom up approach). I agree with you that the deliberations in the various groupings be shared to facilitate broader participation by all concerned constituencies. This are my humble suggestions.<br>

<div>I can only state that African participants to Icann were invited to a meeting with Icann Board and the incoming CEO. Those who could make it to the meeting did it, and were informed by the new CEO that he is keen to assist, and that an Africa specific strategy was needed by Next Icann meeting in Toronto in October. Participants then resolved to form a working group and three people were unanimously nominated..Tarek, Nii and myself..Then considerations on gender balance as well as regional representation were floated..with the addition of Maimouna Diop and Palesa Legoze..and still waiting for regional representatives to join..</div>

Plan. To me it is well over due - we have had NEPAD etc for this and that<br>in the past.<br><br>All in all, will all good intentions this is a positive move - I do not<br>means that previous initiatives have failed but there seems to be a<br>

media? At least I did not receive one - that is why I am raising this<br>question.<br><br>Lastly, it not about what ICANN should do to Africa - it should be what<br>should Africans to for ICANN since the ICANN we know needs Africa to be<br>
more actively represented!<br><br>I wish to stop by asking us to avoid representing Africa without Africans<br>knowing about it.<br><br>In that case, could the Questionnaire be posted widely including mobile<br>phone messages please?<br>
