These activities are based on ICANNs strategic objectives and community
input. The Bylaws require that the draft FY12 Operating Plan be posted by the 17th of May to ensure adequate opportunity for community feedback. In mid-February, a Framework of the FY12 plan was posted and community members provided feedback through online public comment and during sessions held in Silicon Valley this past March. The comments received and the summary analysis, and proposed responses to those comments, can be found here: http://forum.icann.org/lists/op-budget-fy2012/msg00011.html</span></div><div><span style="font-family: "sans-serif";">Based in part on that feedback, further review by ICANN staff and the Board Finance committee, this draft FY12 Operating Plan and Budget provides the detail for ICANN operations this coming fiscal year. The draft reflects the goal of keeping to the FY12 operating expense budget of $67 million.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: "sans-serif";">Over a month remains before the
final budget is submitted to the Board for approval.
