<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>There was a successful workshop on cybersecurity in Kigali last week. The
workshop was organized within the framework of the 2nd Africa/Asia
Forum on Network Research & Engineering; Afrinic, Afnog , INET
and Afren hosted the event, as part of their annual meetings.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The workshop participants came from many African countries and agreed on
the formation of a regional CERT, as a response to capacity development on
cybercriminality in Africa. Kindly find attached the recommendations of the
workshop as relates to Africa CERT, yet another subset of the Af*. You may
circulate the recommendation as a means of encouraging formation of
national and sectoral CERTs and also contribute to this new
initiative.</DIV>
