<P align=justify><SPAN class=Style2>Les pays africains n’ont pas à envier les pays développés dans le domaine des technologies de l’information et de la communication, a estimé mardi Viv Padayatchy, le directeur d’Afrinic.</SPAN><BR><BR></P><SPAN class=Style2>
<P class=spip>‘’L’Afrique a pris beaucoup de temps pour démarrer sur le plan d’internet, mais elle n’a pas à envier les pays développés surtout en matière de nouvelles technologies comme l’IPv6’’, a-t-il notamment dit.</P>
<P class=spip>Le directeur d’Afrinic s’exprimait lors de l’ouverture de la 11-ème réunion de son association sur le thème : ‘’protéger l’avenir de l’Internet en Afrique en prévision de la mise en œuvre du protocole IPv6’’.</P>
<P class=spip>‘’On a déjà commencé des actions en faveur de l’adoption de l’IPv6 sur le continent. Les pays africains vont probablement adopter cette technologie au même titre que les pays développés’’, a déclaré Viv Padayatchy.</P>
<P class=spip>Afrinic est le registre régional d’internet chargé d’attribuer les adresses IP et les numéros de système d’autonomie pour la région Afrique et Océan Indien.</P>
<P class=spip>‘’L’Internet est la chance pour l’Afrique. C’est vrai que le continent africain a adopté les technologies d’internet plus tard que les autres continents. Malgré cette situation, il se donne les moyens d’adopter les dernières technologies’’, a indiqué le directeur d’Afrinic.</P>
<P class=spip>D’une durée de six jours, la 11-ème réunion d’Afrinic se penchera sur l’IPv6, sur la gouvernance et la sécurité de l’Internet.</SPAN> </P>
