Le rapport du second trimestre 2009 du marché des noms de domaine vient d’être publié par la <a href="http://www.verisign.com/domain-name-services/domain-information-center/domain-name-resources/domain-name-report-sept09.pdf">société Verisign</a>.

<br><big><b>Les ccTLDs devant les gTLDs en terme de progression annuelle</b></big><b></b>
<br>
<br>Les extensions géographiques ont progressé de 14% sur 1 an et
compte désormais 74 ,4 millions de noms de domaine. Les extensions
génériques ont elles progressé de 7% sur 1 an et de 1% par rapport au
1er trimestre 2009. <br>
<br>Au final, <b>les extensions géographiques tirent leur épingle du
jeu en progressant 2 fois plus vite que les extensions génériques
depuis 1 an</b>. En terme de proportion, les ccTLDs représentent 40% du marché, contre 50% pour les gTLDs.
<br>
<br><big><b>La Chine fait reculer le nombre de nouveaux enregistrements</b></big><b></b>
<br>
<br>Ce second trimestre 2009 est surtout caractérisé par un recul de
14% des nouveaux enregistrements par rapport au trimestre précédent. Ce
phénomène s’explique notamment par <a href="http://www.domainesinfo.fr/extension/1964/allemagne-le-de-va-t-il-rattraper-le-cn.php">la baisse des enregistrements en .CN</a>, qui compte 12,5 millions de noms enregistrés (contre 14 millions en février 2009).
