The purpose of this workshop is to examine the role played by developing <br>
countries in general and <st1:place w:st="on">Africa</st1:place> in particular
in the last two years of<br>
the Internet governance discussions and to discuss what strategy should<br>
be adopted for the coming years, in order to insure that the interests <br>
of the billions of people living in the developing world are served. It<br>
is found particularly important to discuss about the strategy since the<br>
various stakeholders in the developing world (governments, private<br>
sector, civil society, etc.) have limited resources that put them at a<br>
disadvantage compared to their counterparts in the developed world.<br>
