AfTLD is the recognized regional ccTLD organization of Africa, and our
members and Regional activities accredits & highlights AfTLD
important role.<br>
The nonconstructive comments of Namibia ccTLD manager is not new to us
obviously the benefit of the African ccTLDs in not in his agenda.<br>

and hence strengthen it rather than be a prophet of doom speaking

You could participate in the AFTLD just as you now do in the ccNSO on

If you are African enough then you will stand up to be counted as an
African ccTLD. As you will see from the report you have just refered
to, AFTLD counts, you can too.

The only recommendation in the Final Report for Board submission is the
creation of a community-wide Working Group to study and review the
issues related to the definition of the ICANN Geographic Regions (see
page 18).
At an earlier stage the Working Group suggested to the ccNSO a mechanism for
self-selection to the ICANN Geographic Regions under strict conditions and
only for ccNSO purposes, as is recorded in the final report. This mechanism
will be further discussed at the ccNSO Council meeting in Los Angeles.
The ccNSO Council resolutions on the report, as well as a resolution
thanking the Working Group members and especially it's Chair, David
Archbold, for their hard work is available at:
