target=_blank>Sébastien Bachollet,</A> s'est déroulée une réunion de
onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)"
href="http://www.indom.com/" target=_blank>INDOM</A> et l'AFNIC.
<BR><BR>Pour
autant, l'entreprise DotBerlin a déjà su réunir <A
onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)"
href="http://www.domainesinfo.fr/extension/1168/berlin-le-parlement-allemand-soutient-le-berlin.php"

<P><SPAN>Los Angeles Has Its Own Domain Name</SPAN><BR><SPAN>Thursday May 3,
6:05 am ET</SPAN> </P>
<DIV>LOS ANGELES, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 3, 2007 -- LA Names and CentralNic,
Ltd. have completed the transfer of the .LA domain name to the CentralNic
system. Dot LA has been available as the domain name designation for Los
Angeles since 2001 and is now available on a wide scale. This means that
businesses and organizations can now register domains like "MyBusiness.LA"
or "MyName.LA."
<P>CentralNic CEO Dan Schindler stated, "We're delighted to be working with
LA Names. Especially since we have recently opened our U.S. branch office in
the Los Angeles area. The Dot LA domain name presents a great opportunity
for businesses and other entities interested in marketing their products,
ideas, or services in Los Angeles to create their own LA identity."</P>
<P>LA Names CEO Raedene McGary stated, "We chose CentralNic due to their
flexibility and knowledge of the domain name landscape. We are very
optimistic that .LA has a great future."</P>
<P>Although the .LA domain name is most popular for Los Angeles businesses,
it is offered by resellers all over the world. One of .LA's top selling
registrars, Key Systems, is actually located in Germany, where domain name
registrations are very popular. "We have promoted .LA for many years and the
migration to CentralNic has gone exceptionally well," said Thorsten Smeets,
International Business Manager at Key Systems.</P>
<P>CentralNic recently performed a complete upgrade of its registry system.
This was a complex and detailed undertaking but was accomplished flawlessly
over a period of over six months. The CTO of CentralNic, Gavin Brown,
managed the task and, in the process, completely updated CentralNic's
technology to the latest industry standards. He stated, "CentralNic believes
in staying ahead of the curve when it comes to standards and protocols in
the Domain Name Business. It's not uncommon for us to have the newest
standards in place way ahead of time. That's just the way we do things."</P>
<P>Registering a .LA domain name only costs $50.00 per year and can be
purchased from most domain registrars. The domain works exactly the same as
a .com or .net web address and gives registrants a specific Los Angeles
identity. For more information point your Internet browser to <A

target=_blank>WWW.LA</A>.</P>
<P>About CentralNic</P>
<P>Founded in 1995, CentralNic is a global domain name registry helping
Internet users establish new and distinctive domain names with regional and
country-specific identities. CentralNic's registry operates a portfolio of
over 20 distinctive domain names.</P>
<P>About LA Names</P>
<P>LA Names Corporation has been granted responsibility for operating the
.LA top level domain by the Government of Laos. Based in Guernsey, LA Names
is committed to spreading awareness of the .LA TLD to the residents of Los
Angeles, and to the world at large.</P></DIV><BR clear=all><I>Contact:</I><PRE> For More Information on CentralNic:<BR> <BR> US Contact:<BR> Joe Alagna<BR> e-mail: <A onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)" href="mailto:joe@us.com" target=_blank>

<P>Should London get its own net domain?</P>
<P>Supporters of the campaign for London to be the first ever city to have
its own internet domain name are invited to voice their support to Nominet,
the UK's internet registry.<BR><BR>Critics of the campaign can also make
their feelings known by contacting the Oxford-based group, and submitting
their reasons why London shouldn't be immortalised on the Web.<BR><BR>Lesley
Cowley, Nominet's chief executive, says the correct extension could be
either a second level domain in the .uk space, such as <A

target=_blank>ldn.uk</A>, or a top level domain such as .ldn.<BR><BR>"We
have had two informal representations," Ms Cowley said.<BR><BR>"However, we
are very much aware that there are likely to be mixed views from the public
on this issue."<BR><BR><BR><BR><EM>May 9, 2007</EM></P><BR clear=all><BR>©
