As you know, AfriNIC community will also elect one representative in the
Number council of the NRO during the next meeting in Abuja. The elected
person shall also act as the ASO Address council (ICANN ASO MOU)
representative for AfriNIC region. The deadline for nominations for the
NRO seat expired on April 7, 2007 but the election committee has decided
to extend the nomination period to April 11, 2007 at 18:00
GMT. Note that self-nominations are permitted.<br>

AfriNIC community-elected representative to the NRO-NC is currently
occupied by Ali Drissa Badiel. The term for the NRO-NC seat begins
on 1 January 2008 and ends on 31 December 2010. <br>
