While I personally would not fear going to Cape Town (CPT) for this meeting, I would have to 
hard think twice before delegating or asking a Malawian colleague to travel to CPT given the 
high risk that many Malawians now face in South Africa.

As a seasoned traveller, I have travelled to many events in such risky places in Africa and 
would probably attend this one in person. However, it would be very difficult or unwise for me 
to ask another staff member or Malawian colleagues to travel to South Africa for this  and 
expect them to be free to move around and network with others. Risk is very high
